Private Medical Insurance (PMI)

This is insurance cover that helps pick up the bill for private medical care for a future short-term injury or illness. It covers nearly all illnesses and injuries including cancer, heart, neuro, joint replacements etc.. It does not cover any ongoing conditions or conditions that you have been treated for within the last 5 years.

You can take it out for you, your partner and your family, and having cover in place could make you feel more prepared for any eligible health-related bumps or bends in the road

ahead. This insurance can offer more control over your treatment choices, allowing you to choose when and where you get treated, who treats you and massively reducing the waiting time for both an appointment and treatment.

As a rule of thumb, the monthly premiums are lower if the policy is taken through a business.
